About

Laura has a B.S. in Animal Science from University of Florida, a M.S. in Equine Nutrition from Kansas State University, and a PhD in Dairy Cow Nutrition from University of Illinois. During her PhD, Laura focused primarily on amino acid metabolism during the transition period. This background led her to jobs in the bypass protein and amino acid space, providing technical support to nutritionists on amino acid balancing and transition cow nutrition. Through primarily providing technical support on the supplier side of the industry, Laura gained valuable knowledge on amino acid balancing, product analysis, transition cow management, feed mixing, and diet formulation. This allowed for a smooth transition into her role at DNMC where she provides on farm nutrition and consulting in addition to technical support for the DNMC team on commercial products and technical ration balancing. Laura hopes to continue to expand the influence of DNMC in the Southeast.

Laura resides in Newberry, FL with her husband Ross and daughter Nora. She spends her free time at the barn riding her horse Roo and chasing after Nora.
